January Smalls Challenge and January WIP
I've managed a finish of a Smalls ornament as you can see and also have had a productive month getting a lot of progress on my Teddies picture. Of course some backstitching to do still, but most of the cross and half stitches are done!!! Glad I posted a picture before I re-started this old project, good to see progress.
Now for February, I will move on to another WIP, this time a dragonfly by Nora Corbett. I have two dragonfly patterns by Nora, this is the first one I started. Lots of nice metallics and beads.

Another finished lace piece
I decided to practice some more mounting of my lace onto fabric (handkerchief linen), so managed to finish the lace edging below. I'm quite pleased with how it looks, there are plenty more edgings to finish though!!
I made this piece of lace long long ago, but its quite a pretty piece
Above is my first foray into reticella, its on 32 count linen with Perle threads (8 and 12). It was rather fun to make and hopefully will become a pincushion.

January 1st starts and a really old WIP
I have started a new Mill Hill piece, Angelic stocking (and still have plenty unopened kits left!!!) as my Jan 1st challenge for one of my stitching groups. I've only done an hour on it so a bit early to post a pic.
However I was sorting through a box and found a very old WIP (or probably a UFO by now) which hasnt seen the light of day for some decades. This has become my focus UFO, its a picture of 2 teddies by Dimensions on 18 count. I've posted a scan so I can see progress.

Christmas ornament and November smalls challenge
Here are two things I have recently finished.
The first is a Christmas ornament I made for an exchange with my Australian lace group (the Gumnuts!!), and the second is another item for the Smalls challenge
I know they are only small, but its great to have some finishes.

Mounted lace
As you can see from previous photos, I am not very keen on mounting lace onto fabric. I recently bit the bullet and found this very old, yellowing piece of Bucks lace and attempted the mounting.
Now to get going on some more pieces!!!

October Smalls and My Milanese lace piece
Well, here he is my cute little sheep, there was an interesting stitch under the white beads on his body, bit hard to see here.
And here is my entry for the Royal Geelong show, this was my third Milanese piece and I quite enjoyed making it. I was lucky to get First Prize in this section of the show.
Now what will I stitch for November?!!
