Here is my first attempt at Portuguese whitework from Yvette Stanton's book.
I didn't have the right linen (this one was natural instead of white and rather stiff) but I wanted to have a go. Tracing the pattern for the middle stitching was hard through the non-white fabric which was fairly dense, but it was only a practice piece.
The outside drawn thread work is meant to be "wiggly", in fact they are called wiggly bars!!!
I hadn't done bullions for a long while.
