March 2020 update

Had a bit of trouble logging back in, but luckily I think its OK now!!

Here is a Mill Hill Christmas decoration that I have just finished: Patchwork Holiday

And here is one of my entries into the Geelong show last year: Bedfordshire lace Rose, pattern by Jean Leader a terrific lace teacher from England. I was lucky to receive First prize in this section, the pattern used approximately 60 pairs of bobbins, quite a feat (but some came into the pattern and then left again!!)

Royal Geelong Show 2018 - lace entries

Pleased to find that I had won 1st prizes for my bobbin lace entries in the Royal Geelong show. Good news is that I had the incentive to finish 2 items, I usually need a "push" to complete my projects.

June Smalls challenge

Not sure what happened, but haven't managed a smalls challenge since February!!

Anyway heres what I made for my friend Sally in USA for a Christmas in July exchange, a hardanger ornament and a Torchon bobbin lace ornament

Below is my start on a 40 count Cluny tapestry. It's just mesmerising. Sorry too impatient to get it the right way up LOL!!

Here at last is my Feb challenge, a bookmark pattern in blue and silver with white snowflakes!

I've been busy continuing with some larger hardanger projects I started some years ago. Really enjoying them!!

January Smalls Challenge and January WIP

I've managed a finish of a Smalls ornament as you can see and also have had a productive month getting a lot of progress on my Teddies picture. Of course some backstitching to do still, but most of the cross and half stitches are done!!! Glad I posted a picture before I re-started this old project, good to see progress.

Now for February, I will move on to another WIP, this time a dragonfly by Nora Corbett. I have two dragonfly patterns by Nora, this is the first one I started. Lots of nice metallics and beads.
